During this period, Zippo utilized 4-barrel hinges for all years

The bottom stamp saw a slight change in late 1941 concerning the letter "O."

Starting in 1940, Zippo switched to an integrated cam clip, replacing the removable U-shaped cam clip

Zippo insert

The Zippo insert also featured some minor differences, notably in late 1941, Zippo began using steel instead of brass for its material. The chimney still utilized the 14-hole type.

The cam material was brass until around 1938, but switched to steel from around 1939
